About the Artist

Rosa Tuffney studied at Maidstone College of Art, North Devon College of Art and Design, and the University of Plymouth in Exeter. A well-travelled painter who, over several years, has journeyed through North Africa, West Africa, India, Nepal and South America and is now settled in the West Country, England. Born in London, the claustrophobic effect of city life is particularly evident. Seldom do people appear in her landscapes, not through oversight but conscious decision. Flat canvases are given spatial depth and room to breathe. For the past three years she has worked intensely from her studio in Devon refining and developing her work to the appreciation of her corporate clients and private collectors alike. Such developments promise many new and exciting paintings soon to be shown.
